Hello world!

Welcome to the new home of Mechanical Advantage as it finds its place here on the Web. Hopefully with a little dumb luck and a less than brutal learning curve I’ll be able to bring to you the viewer a site that is enjoyable and useful for those who wind up here for whatever reason. This adventure has already shown me there is a big difference between surfing the internet and actually building the waves, let’s hope this one becomes worth riding because the surf is always up around here!

I’ve decided at least for now to leave some of the pages open for comment to encourage viewer interaction and participation. If things go well this will not only make for a more interesting and enjoyable site, but also provide me with some valuable insight that I would not otherwise have at my disposal for improving the site and business as well. Regarding allowable comment posting, if meeting some measure of good taste and relevancy to the topic at hand are followed the comments shall be allowed to stand. And if comment posting is not your cup of tea or your message delivery style is too colorful for public display then feel at liberty to contact me by other means and I’ll be sure to give your views all the consideration they so richly deserve.

I’m not sure just how prolific of a writer your webmaster still in apprenticeship will become around here or how rapidly that will transpire if meant to be. Just some of the ideas for future development include in addition to a general blog, the creation of some sort of tech info and tips pages on the site. And the possibility of dividing the later into two sections with one being advanced technical information and the other a plain speak version with analogies for easy understanding by those not pursuing a master’s degree in automotive repair. Till then I’ll have to just gauge the force of popular demand for such things by the voice of your comments, or maybe just throw a hook in the water and see what bites!

  1. This is a test comment most likely from a fictitious user posting from an ip address that has been obfuscated by internet spoofing techniques.
